Civil aviation experience for over 30 years starting in 1984 at KLM E&M as Mechanical Engineer (B Eng). Started working as an engineering apprentice mechanic in Boeing 747 and DC9 heavy maintenance before working as APU system engineer in KLM Central Engineering Department. Mid 1989, Eric became Type Project EngineerA310 / Boeing 737, specifying and accepting new and used A310 (6 ea.) and newBoeing 737 Classic (15 ea.); Eric’s last position in KLM was Technical Fleet Manager Boeing 737.
February 2000, Eric joined debis AirFinance, later re-branded AerCap, to develop the A320 LessorBaseline specification for the A320 family. Aircraft customization, assemblyand delivery was done for 140+ new A320 and A330 aircraft. In addition to the management ofthe new aircraft, Eric managed 100+ Cabin/system re-configurations followingaircraft re-possession and/or lease-end for Airbus A320, A330 and Boeing 737projects.
Eric resigned from AerCap in August 2016 to set-up his own company XTRATA25 offering the same array of services that was performed for 16,5 years of working in AerCap.
August 2016 founded XTRATA25, established at Lelystad Airport, The Netherlands, specializing in Cabin reconfiguration projects;contracted by Precision Aircraft Solutions to support the development of theA321 passenger to freighter conversion.
